The Dig Films Story

Rescued. Reinvented.
Unapologetic.

Founded in 1998 by a group of Danish directors who wanted to make the films no one else would, Dig Films built a reputation for uncompromising dark drama — and then nearly lost everything.

In 2025, Lindholm Family Office — multi-generational Danish shipping wealth — acquired an 80% stake and committed €50m. The remaining 20% went to key creatives as sweat equity. The mandate: AI-enhanced storytelling pipelines, aggressive rights monetisation, and a global audience that has never had enough quality Scandinavian noir.
